First off, big thanks to Luke @Hundstrasse for the unique blogger nomination; it’s nice to see fellow creatives in the blogosphere enjoying The Couch Petito’s content. I’ve tuned into a few of Luke’s recent Jurassic Park: Trespasser streams and thoroughly enjoyed watching his playthrough.
A lot of what got me interested in blogging (and probably for you as well) was the freedom to write about anything and everything that interests me—knowing these things have an audience beyond just myself is validation to keep doing what I’m doing. Thank you all for the support and readership, you’re all great.
Like Luke, I’m trying to be more conversational and engaging with you guys as well—I severely underestimated the amount of time and commitment it would take to get there. But thanks to a solid group of like-minded people it’s been getting easier feeding off everyone’s creativity. Kim @LaterLevels is a shining example. You are good at what you do, Kim.
So three things about myself…..
I don’t need an alarm clock to wake up at a certain time: I just kind of wake up. Most of my family and friends can’t understand how it’s possible, but I do it on a daily basis—I just kind of tell myself I need to wake up at a certain time and do it. Most of me wishes I could trade this petty ability for something more majestic, like teleportation or cooking.
I’m a huge Jean Claude Van-Damme fan: There isn’t such a thing as a fair-weather JCVD fan; you’re either a fan or you just don’t care. To me, Bloodsport is one of the greatest movies ever made. I’ll let my coffee mug speak for my JCVD fandom.
I don’t enjoy condiments (like at all): You can keep your mustard, ketchup, relish and all that other horrible tasting stuff. If you can’t eat something by itself then it doesn’t belong near my food. Maple syrup doesn’t count because—at least to me–it can absolutely be eaten by itself…
With that out of the way, I’m eager to get to the questions. I haven’t put any real thought into my answers—full disclose I haven’t looked at the questions until just this minute so this will be fairly off the cuff (which I prefer).
Questions from @Hundstrasse
Q: Which game characters outfit do you wish that you could legitimately wear? (I’ve already said somewhere that I’d go with Link’s Barbarian ensemble)
A: I’m a pretty simple person with a blind eye turned to things like increasing my sex appeal, muscle mass or how I look in a tank-top; with that said, Duke Nukem.
Q: You wake up one day and ARGH! You’re Luigi! … even worse, it’s Mario’s Birthday! What do you buy him as a present?
A: Ideally this would happen on a weekend; going into work as Luigi isn’t a scenario I’d really like to play out in my head. Shoes have evolved a great deal over time, my guess is he’d appreciate a fresh pair of running shoes with a firm but still flexible sole insert. Heavy amounts of running and jumping can really take a toll on your knee joints over time.
Q: Grashelumping is a word I just made up, what does it mean? (ok, I’ve done a similar question before, but I really like it!)
A: Is this not the creature I just discovered on Praxis 9 in No Man’s Sky?
Now onto nominating. I don’t have a huge following on here just yet but those of you I’m connected with I’ve chosen to connect with because you’re all doing super interesting things. If you guys have the time to get back on this I’d be pumped to hear your responses.

What’s your favorite music from a video game?
When given the choice of a Hero playthrough or Evil playthrough, which do you do first and why?
What’s a game that you started but never finished because it was either too difficult, or it was just not for you (and why?)
Shoot me a note you three if you have any questions on this, looking forward to seeing your responses. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have monsters to hunt.
